TIME MAGAZINE has named TAYLOR SWIFT as PERSON OF THE YEAR, 2023.
Taylor Swift not Jonathan Swift.
This Blogger understands that Taylor Swift has a very important impact on the culture; in the firmament of Thighs, as the Great White Hope in White Women Thighs; with the goal being to dethrone Beyonce’s Black Thighs as the thighs non-pariel in American culture.
Ms. Swift is a singer, an entertainer, an actor who was notable in that notable failure of a film, CATS.
Ms. Swift has been an economic powerhouse and has inspired America's wandering and rootless young people to register to vote.
But she has not won a Nobel Prize for Literature, like Bob Dylan; nor does her political power match the political or social power of the singer/actor Metrobius, who held sway over Rome; because he held sway over Sulla.
Her selection as the 2023 PERSON OF THE YEAR stunningly reflects the bankruptcy of achievement, endemic in Joe Biden’s 2023 America.
In 2023, there are two ruinous wars being waged, one in the birthplace of Russia and its culture; the other in a land mentioned in the Holy Scriptures of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
It is fitting that in Joe Biden’s America, TIME Magazine could not find a peacemaker, a diplomat, a statesman, a general, a scientist, a humanitarian, a religious leader, a philanthropist, an inventor, an astronaut, a hero, or a heroine of courage, worthy of acknowledgement.
America is so diminished that a singer is uplifted above all others.
To place this event in context, it means that during World War I, entertainer and songwriter George M. Cohan would have been PERSON OF THE YEAR over the American Doughboy; during World War II, Betty Grable ( she of the great legs) would be honored over the ones who shaped History.
Historically, the TIME PERSON OF THE YEAR could have and has been, a Person of Evil; TIME, before it valued trumped up concerts above Reality, named Adolf Hitler (1938); Joseph Stalin (TWICE, 1939 and 1942); Nikita Khrushchev (1957); and Ayatollah Khomeini (1979) as TIME PERSON OF THE YEAR; because of their impact on History and not their concert sales.
Using that standard, impact on History; THE MAXEY CHRONICLES names blood thirsty HAMAS leader Yahya Sinwar as its 2023 PERSON OF THE YEAR.
Sinwar is directly responsible for starting a bloodbath; when he unleashed his ghoulish HAMAS hordes on Israel, breaking a ceasefire.
Sinwar opened a portal to hell, and imported a wave of unmitigated evil on Israel; and more profoundly, on his own people. As this Blog is being written, 20,000 of his own people, Palestinians, have been killed in the war he provoked.
If nothing else, Sinwar has refocused Humanity on the prowess, resilience, attraction, ruthlessness and bloodlust of evil.
More than that, his planned butchery of Israelis, resurfaced a TRUTH, that Oscar Wilde explored in his masterpiece, THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY. Evil is LUCKY.
Hitler survived 46 assassination attempts.
Sinwar was born in 1962, in a Palestinian refugee camp, near the Gaza city of Khan Yunis; a city currently being turned into Carthage by the Israelis, in their Roman fury.
Educated at Islamic University, perhaps to be a Sunni cleric (Stalin studied to be a priest). Sinwar was a key player, in transforming HAMAS from a religious organization into a terrorist organization.
Sinwar founded the internal security apparatus of HAMAS, a CHEKA modeled organization. It swept up innocent Palestinians, not fully committed to HAMAS and executed them en masse.
He was HAMAS’ Beria/Pol Pot. He personally participated in as many executions as possible, offering using terrifying methods to murder his own people; they nicknamed him: ‘ THE BUTCHER OF KHAN YUNIS.”
In 1988, Israel arrested him and convicted him for murdering his fellow Palestinians. He was sentenced to four life sentences.
“in 1988, Sinwar planned the abduction and killing of two Israeli soldiers and the murder of four Palestinians whom he suspected of cooperating with Israel. He was arrested on February that year; during questioning he admitted to strangling two of the victims, inadvertently killing another during a violent interrogation, and accidentally shooting the fourth during an attempted abduction, and showed investigators an orchard where the four bodies were buried. He was sentenced to four life sentences in 1989.He tried to escape several times but was always caught. ...Sinwar served 22 years of his sentence, and was the most senior Palestinian prisoner freed among 1,026 others in a 2011 prisoner exchange for IDF soldier Gilad Shalit, who had been held hostage by Hamas for five years.
In 2015, he oversaw the torture and execution of fellow Hamas commander Mahmoud Ishtiwi, who was accused of homosexuaity."
Being evil, Sinwar got lucky; he was imprisoned with Israelis who thought they were smarter than evil; who thought they could outwit evil.
One can NEVER out wit Evil. In the face of Evil, all that one can do is stand righteous and say, like Luther: “HERE I STAND, I CAN DO NO OTHER.”
And hope Jesus is not taking a nap; and God is not on the other side of the Universe, playing with his new toy, a solar system in which all the planets are synchronized, in a cosmic ballet.

At some point during his imprisonment, Sinwar faced a daunting medical challenge when diagnosed with a rare and aggressive brain tumor. Remarkably, he was transferred to an Israeli hospital for life-saving surgery. Throughout his time in prison, Sinwar's influence within the Hamas organization continued to grow. He maintained communication with the outside world through numerous visitors, including interviews with Israeli media on multiple occasions.
On June 25, 2006, a Hamas terrorist unit infiltrated Israeli territory, abducting Gilad Shalit, then an IDF soldier. Shalit's release occurred five years and four months later, in 2011, as part of a prisoner exchange deal that included the release of 1,027 security prisoners, among them Yahya Sinwar. Following his release, Sinwar rapidly ascended within the Hamas government in Gaza, ultimately winning an internal election in 2017 to become the leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip.”
Hitler was lucky; evil is lucky. Hitler rose to power because brilliant German minds thought they could outwit him and manage him.
Readers, think about this: think of all the Palestinians, both evil and innocent, killed by Israel since 1948; and yet, the one they should have killed; they did not. Israel saved the one, it should have killed. Irony? Fate? Stupidity? God on the other side of the Universe?
Sinwar is alive today, still killing his people; because brilliant and smug Israelis thought they could outwit him and manage him.
Evil cannot be outwitted.
Sinwar, in provoking this bloodbath, may well be an instrument not merely of Israeli wrath but Biblical prophecy.
Jeremiah, Amos, Zephaniah, and Zechariah all prophesied judgment on Gaza because of the sin of the Sinwar….. Amos 1:6–7 records God’s judgment on Gaza; which could be read in modern terms:
““So I will send a fire upon the wall of Gaza, and it shall devour her strongholds” (ESV). Likewise, Jeremiah, Zephaniah and Zechariah prophesied of Gaza’s destruction (Jeremiah 25:17–20; Zephaniah 2:4; Zechariah 9:5).”
This Blogger does not think Taylor Swift has EVER been the instrument of a Divine Prophecy of Destruction; therefore THE MAXEY CHRONICLES names Yahya Sinwar, its 2023 PERSON OF THE YEAR.
