The Pre-historic Sahara Desert was vibrant, even lush. Plant life was abundant; it had numerous lakes, including a megalake rivaling a Great Lake, a lake which covered 42,000 square miles.   Then a megadrought occurred, and the people of the Sahara were forced to migrate east, to a fabled river.
