THE DOBBS DECISION-
The DOBBS VS. JACKSON WOMEN’S HEALTH ORGANIZATON Decision, over turned the stare decisis, the settled law, the 50-year precedent of ROE VS. WADE; which guaranteed abortion as a constitutional right.
Abortion rights, pro-life arguments, pro-choice arguments, reproductive rights are the Schrödinger's cat of modern American morality. The cat is placed in a closed box, with a vial of poison, and a radioactive fragment. Until the box is opened, the cat may be considered simultaneously both alive and dead. Until there is a viable, satisfactory compromise between the pro-life and pro-choice hosts, the cat of abortion will be both alive (ROE VS. WADE) and dead (DOBBS).
Before this Blog continues, this Blogger should make it clear, he supports abortion rights. He believes the planet has too many humans on it as is; and that over population is propelling mankind and the planet toward an extinction event. In 1950, Mexico had a population of 28,000,000; in 2023, its population is 128 million. And the temperature hit 124F degrees in Sonora; this Blogger does not see that as a coincidence.
This Blogger is not one of the great moralists of all time; he will not argue abortion rights on the basis of religion or morality. What this Blogger advocates is that the nation engage in a massive séance, to speak with a deceased woman; a woman who had an abortion (this Blogger is still so antediluvian that he still believes only a woman can have an abortion) and inquire of her: how did the Creator react to that knowledge, especially as it pertained to her gaining access to Heaven?
This Blogger wants to discuss abortion rights within the confines of an Eric Hoffer matrix of extrapolated conclusions.
On July 17, 2012, this Blogger published this: “Eric Hoffer was one of the great men of the 20th Century, a blind man who then could see, a migrant worker, a survivor of a suicide attempt, a stevedore, an essayist, a genius. President Reagan awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1983, no one has deserved it more.
He wrote a wonderfully insightful tome, THE TRUE BELIEVER;THE TRUE BELIEVER is one of the politically seminal books of the 20th Century, along with 1984, ANIMAL FARM, and BRAVE NEW WORLD. Hoffer ranks with Orwell, and Huxley.
....When I met Hoffer, he was in exile, after falling out with the Liberal Elite. over Africa, In the early 1960s, France, Britain and Belgium freed a ton of African colonies. Liberals were delighted.
A grand tour of the newly independent nations was arranged for the America Media, CBS sent Eric Sevareid and Eric Hoffer.
The newly independent African nations gave the Liberal Media wonderful excursions, in the new capitals, among the newly finished buildings. The American Liberal Media was euphoric, except for Hoffer.
He went on national television and said to Sevareid, that the newly independent African nations were in for a tough slough and probably would fail.
Sevareid, aghast, asked Hoffer, how could he say that?
Hoffer said:" As everyone was touring the building, me, the old stevedore was checking the janitor's closets....in not one country, not in one janitor's room did I find a mop, or a broom or cleanser. How can you advance if you cannot maintain?" ......GERRY MAXEY "
The Eric Hoffer Matrix is to look at the Big Picture; but also look at the small events, which both lead to the Big Picture, and are reflective of the Big Picture; such as the lack of mops in the African office buildings, led to entropy.
There is a scene in the film GODFATHER II, in which the Al Pacino character wavers on joining forces with super gangster HYMIE ROTH; because he sees a Cuban rebel blow himself up, sacrificing himself to kill an enemy Captain.
The gangster asked the Pacino character:" What did you learn from that sole incident?"
The Pacino character answers: "The rebels might win."
That is the Hoffer Matrix in action.
This Blogger believes that the DOBBS DECISION is reflective of many things, beyond the conflict over abortion rights.
The DOBBS DCISION reflects a deep fear among a plurality of Americans; that American society is slipping toward the abyss of being a Godless society; and that curbing abortion rights is the first step back from the brink of becoming a Weimar society; which in all its libertine glory, led to Nazi paganism.
This Blogger believes that the DOBBS DECISION reflects a virulent hatred of modern women, by many cisgender males and the women who love cisgender males. The Decision also reflects a sharp and dangerous disappointment with modernity, as practiced by American Liberals.
Through empirical experience, this Blogger has come to the conclusion that an audience, a mob or the societal zeitgeist itself, can evolve into one animal, with one collective memory, one grievance, one likes, one hates and one intent. Under a governance of malfeasance, the inflamed individual consciousness can metastasize into an inflamed collective consciousness.
American Liberals have provided the necessary malfeasance. They have been maladroit in both political and social governance, but adept at triggering anger and payback, both politically and socially.
Over the last year, the U.S. Supreme Court has altered the American zeitgeist, by tapping into its collective fears and rage to force, or attempt to force, American Liberals into altering their trajectory of social unmooring, by exacting a terrible price on their beliefs, specifically abortion.
This Blogger sees the DOBBS decision, savaging abortion rights, as one of the highest forms of misogyny. DOBBS is an act of total revenge on modern women, for using abortion rights as a spring board to decouple and unmoor society from viable civil norms, with the mad vigor of a Robespierre championing the month of Thermidor. American Liberals and modern women have thrown astute caution to the wind, and wallowed in triumphalism. They have turned Conservatives into Carlists, Believers, into an American version of the Parabalani, religious fanatics looking for their very own Hypatia to lynch.
This Blogger believes DOBBS touches a deep, primordial savagery in the Parabalani. Before ROE vs. WADE, America was turning out women like Eleanor Roosevelt, Amelia Earhart, Rosa Parks, Barbara Stanwyck, Susan B. Anthony, Ida Eisenhower, Ethel Barrymore, Claire Boothe Luce, Lillian Hellman, and the list goes on.
With abortion rights in place, with ROE vs. WADE in place, modern American women practiced malfeasance in gender politics, offering up classless women, such as the Kardashians, Lady Gaga, Madonna, and assorted REAL HOUSEWIVES as role models. Modern women, have despoiled the image of grandmothers, the ancient and revered gatekeepers of ethics and moral standards; since ROE, American grandmothers have tumbled down from Ethel Waters and Jane Darwell to images of a grotesque, 81 year old, classless, circus freak, appearing, in a bathing suit, on the cover of SPORTS ILLUSTRATED. Liberals and modern women have left no class of women capable of moderating misogyny with class.
The DOBBS DECISION may well indeed have a moral basis; but the lack of compromise around reproduction rights is based on old fashioned revenge.
Revenge against modern American women, because they allied themselves with trans and gays instead of cisgender males. Modern women allied themselves with Drag Queens; because they have mastered makeup. Modern women glorified men in dresses; because they made the MET GALA exotic.
Cisgender males noticed and simmered. Cisgender males have long memories and like to indulge in vendettas; remember, they invented the Mafia and the 47 RONIN.
DOBBS is payback to modern women for liking Andy Cohen and Billy Porter over Robert Mitchum or Jimmy Stewart or Charles Bronson. DOBBS is payback for Governor Anne Richards mocking war hero George H.W. Bush at the Democratic Convention as " every woman's first husband."
To paraphrase David Mamet, to cisgender males and their women, grievances can be settled; slights will never be forgiven. Modern Women turned Abortion Rights away from a righteous grievance into a platform of slights against cisgender males. DOBBS is payback.
