David Brooks, NY TIMES, Is Both RIGHT and Late About the GOP Being the NEW Working Class Party, and INFLATION

One of the unsung, but formidable, reasons for the decline of the American republic is the insulation and class isolation  of the American Elite from the working class. Very few American intellectuals, in academia, government, NGOs, media, and/or entertainment, have personal friends, or relationships with members of the American working class. 

This insulation is a new American phenomenon; military service during the Civil War, World War I, World War II meant a co-mingling of intellectuals and the working class. J.D. Salinger served with members of the working class, as did President William McKinley. 

Mel Brooks, Irving Berlin, John Ford, and Henry Fonda all served with the working-class; that American service gave American intellectuals insight into the soul of the American working class. 

In 1992, with the election of intellectual cum draft dodger, Bill Clinton, the Democratic Party became the party of intellectuals, and Globalists, elitists and trend setters. The American working class set adrift, jettisoned. 

David Brooks, has a fine keen mind; but all his brilliance comes from research and polling, focus groups and cocktail party chit chat. He doesn’t have the phone number of one man from the line in his IPHONE. 

That means, like most American intellectuals, he is slow on the uptake on social  and political trends. To his credit, he is an honorable elitist; so, he seeks out the trend; unlike most of the members of the mainstream media, who only wallow in homogenized sociological self indulgences; which are  dangerously passé in 2022. 

On July 14, 2022, Mr. Brooks published a column which highlighted his integrity and quest for the truth, yet underlined his backwardness. 

“These conditions have already shaken up the stereotypes we used to use to think about politics. We used to think of the Democrats as the party of the economically disadvantaged. But college-educated metropolitan voters continue to flock to it and reshape it more and more each year. The Republicans used to be the party of business, but now they are emerging as a multiracial working-class party. In the Times/Siena poll, Hispanic voters were nearly evenly split about whether they favored Republicans or Democrats in the midterms. That may be overstating how much Hispanics have shifted, but it does seem as if the Republicans are genuinely becoming a working-class white-brown coalition. These voters care about the economy, the economy and the economy….NEW YORK TIMES, 7-14-22.” 

This Blogger does not have the resources of the NEW YORK TIMES, or the Liberal media; all he has is friends on the line. 

On May 31, 2015, this Blogger published the following: “In 2016, it is within the grasp of the Republican Party to save the American working-class males from irrelevance, destruction and extinction, or worst still-emasculation by the Liberal Elite. 

Globalized Liberals will say that saving working class males is an impossible task, but populist Republicans know it is not impossible. The American working class can be saved; it can be done, but it won’t be done by the Globalized Elite, nor their American surrogates-American Liberals. 

 

Since the passage of NAFTA (the North American Free Trade Agreement, by Hillary Clinton’s consort, the Liberal Elite has forsworn the American worker, in favor of a Globalized Social Agenda. To American Liberals of the 21^st Century, the social rights of one transgender are worth more than the economic plight of 1000 unemployed American male workers. 

 

As long as Ellen DeGeneres has the right to marry her girlfriend, the American Liberal Elite could care less that the daughters of the working class have to go into amateur porn to survive; or that the sons of American workers have to sell meth to survive.  21^st Century Liberals only care about demolishing social traditions; they care nothing about the survival or dignity of the American worker. 

 

Globalization is not organic; it was devised at  Davos  by the Globalized Elite, and then passed on to the American Liberal Elite. The creation of Globalization, the passage of NAFTA,  the sellout to Communist China,  the inception of feckless Social Engineering; all this has been done by the Liberal Elite to bring American  workers, the American Communards,  to heel and teach them dog tricks. In 2015, the Liberal Elite and the Liberal Media have as much value to the American worker as a bucket of warm spit. 

 

The feminist editor of the ECONOMIST  notes that Globalization has been a catastrophe for American working class males……she  acknowledges the problem: “Blue-collar men in rich countries are in trouble. They must learn to adapt”. 

 

And she has a Liberal solution, a Globalized Elitist solution, a Liberal Elitist solution. “What can be done? Part of the solution lies in a change in cultural attitudes. ….. Working-class men need to catch up. Women have learned that they can be surgeons and physicists without losing their femininity. Men need to understand that traditional manual jobs are not coming back, and that they can be nurses or hairdressers without losing their masculinity….THE ECONOMIST”. 

 

That is the Liberal Solution for the despair of American working-class males; that is the Elitist solution for desperate American working-class males; that is the Globalized solution for dispossessed American working-class males; that is the Hillary Clinton solution for the disposal and forgotten men of America’s working class-BECOME A HAIRDRESSER. 

 

In his varied careers, this Blogger has known unemployed working-class males- white bikers, black gang members (former and current), and Latino “hard men”. None of them want to end their lives as hairdressers; all of them would rather burn this rotten, uncaring, Globalized, Liberal society to ashes than be buried as a hairdresser. 

 

If being a male hairdresser is the only path out of despair offered to American working-class males by the Globalized Liberal Elite, then perhaps it would be best if American working-class males burned this parasitic and effete society to the ground, and then sowed that ground of ashes with salt. 

 

In 2016, there is a way out for American working-class males…..Every working-class American male, be he white, black, Native American, Latino, mixed or polka dot, and the women who love them, should consider,   voting Republican Populist in 2016. Unless they desire to be Hillary’s hairdresser…..The Globalized Liberal Elite is not only bound and determined to strip American working class males of their livelihoods and dignity (Steinbeck’s “terrible dignity”), they also intend to make America a Godless society, so that the American worker cannot even pray to the Divine for help to survive the losses of livelihood and  dignity. 

 

….America must reverse the Bill Clinton policy of Mass Incarceration. 

 

A) Mass Incarceration- to prepare the Republic for the ills of Globalization, President Bill Clinton and his consort, began the policy of Mass Incarceration.  

 

The purpose of the policy was to soak up the labor pool of American workers by jailing as many young American working class males as possible, especially black males. 

 

With American working-class males off the streets and in jail, the way was open for illegal aliens to get jobs which by right belonged to American workers. 

 

The Clinton/Bush Policy of Globalization was simple, send American manufacturing jobs to Communist China, and then send American working-class males to jail. 

 

Hillary Clinton will not reverse Bill Clinton’s Policy of Mass Incarceration, for her only experience with prison is through the lens of ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK; she does not appreciate, nor care that mass incarceration has wrecked the working-class American male. 

 

…..One cannot be for both the well-being of the American Worker and illegal aliens, they are mutually exclusive concerns. 

 

The Hillary Clinton, the Liberal Goddess,  has chosen illegal aliens. 

 

How do we know this? 

 

Hillary Clinton has chosen , with all the legal native born Latinos/Latinas  in America,  an illegal alien, Lorella Praeli, a Peruvian illegal alien  activist ,as her Latino Outreach Director. “ Praeli, ….. will be the Clinton campaign's main point person with Latino communities around the country. She will also be one of the campaign's surrogates with the press on Latino issues.” 

 

It is obvious to reasonable observers that an American Latino/Latina  was unworthy, according to Mrs. Clinton’s Liberal standards, to fill the position of Latino Outreach Director in her Presidential Campaign. But any American Latino is free to apply to be Ms. Praeli’s hairdresser. 

 

Republicans….. have chosen American working-class males, their wives, their daughters, their mothers, and their sweethearts over illegal aliens. 

 

……2016 may be the last time American working-class males have to step back from the abyss of being forced into indentured servitude as hairdressers to Liberals. It would be wise if they took the opportunity to maintain their dignity, and vote Republican in 2016…..THE MAXEY CHRONICLES.” 

 

In the same July 14,2022, column, Mr. Brooks,  issued an intellectual commentary on inflation. 

“….. inflation is soaring. Throughout history, inflationary periods have often been linked to political instability. As the economist Lionel Robbins wrote about Weimar Germany, inflation “destroyed the wealth of the more solid elements in German society; and it left behind a moral and economic disequilibrium, apt breeding ground for the disasters which have followed….D. BROOKS.” 

This Blogger called some  Industrial Engineers, and then  factory workers, and asked their opinion about the root cause of this potential hyperinflation. 

They all had the same answer- supply chain breakdowns, causing shortages, causing inflation. They blamed JUST IN TIME. 

What MONEYBALL analytics is to baseball, what the three-point shot is  to basketball; what scripting football plays is to football, JUST IN TIME is to manufacturing. 

Edward Deming was an Industrial Engineer/Consultant, who was philosophically opposed to Henry Ford’s philosophy of manufacturing. 

Ford NEVER wanted to be caught with a supply shortage; so, he kept vast amounts of inventories, for all items, and contingencies. American manufacturing adopted his theories; Ford’s theories reigned supreme during World War II; when his plant was turning out a complete, air worthy, bomber every 63 minutes. 

Deming thought inventories were evil, a money drain, and a leech on stock holder value; for it tied up capital. 

Deming wanted to keep inventories at a bare minimum;  needed inventory was kept at the supplier, not in house. When you needed inventory, the supplier shipped it, JUST IN TIME. 

Great theory. 

American manufacturing rejected it; for Ford’s matrix had been shown to be successful. 

But the Japanese liked it; they invited Deming to Japan, to overhaul Japanese manufacturing, using his statistical analytics, DEMING/JURAN. 

JUST IN TIME works well, when the supplier is in the next block, in the next city, the next county, the next state, the next time zone. But when American manufacturing off shored its inventory to Communist China, it was worshipping a philosophy dependent on nothing going awry, in a supply chain stretching over 5,000 miles. 

It also did not factor in a pandemic, which shuttered the supply chain holding the inventory. 

When the supply chain is broken, and shortages become rampant, the result is inflation. If the supply chain is continuously broken by continual outbreaks of infectious diseases, never ending pandemics, HYPER INFLATION will ensue. 

The workers on the line, think it behooves the Elitist government to craft a tax policy to empower and encourage companies to restock  and maintain inventory, especially of critical ingredients, such as computer chips. 

America needs to reinvest in inventory so hyperinflation does not occur.
