THE MAXEY CHRONICLES' 2021 PERSON OF THE YEAR- The Killer Ape

At the beginning of 2021, this Blogger wrote: “2020 was the Year of Death; everyone in the world knew someone who died in 2020. That shared experience is unusual. 2021 is the Year of killing.” 

 

This Blogger was too prescient for his own good; in 2021 there is a pandemic of killing, an epidemic of killing, a fad of killing. 

 

Killing your fellow man is so prevalent in 2021, that THE MAXEY CHRONICLES is naming the Killer Ape , PERSON OF THE YEAR 2021. 

 

Everyone is getting killed, harmless old Asian men going for a walk outside their homes in upscale neighborhoods, love struck young women, lovers of ex-NFL football players, dope dealers, school kids on the way to class, toddlers riding in a car seat on a well-travelled freeway, students in home rooms, nameless men, church ladies, hookers, priests, soldiers on duty, soldiers off duty, veterans who have survived combat, babies, criminals, dog walkers, families, pro Trump supporters, BLM supporters, hard working waitresses for not dating besotted busboys, church goers, and devil worshippers. 

 

Killer Apes have changed American society, making it timid, fearful, joyless and fatalistic. Killer Apes are now so omnipresent that they have a place on the WELCOME WAGON team, welcoming you to MR. ROGERS’ NEIGHBORHOOD. 

 

Killer Apes bestride the society, bringing LITTLE MURDERS, by Jules Feiffer,  to life. 

 

“Patsy Newquist is a 27-year-old interior designer who lives in a New York City that is rife with street crime, noise, obscene phone calls, power blackouts and unsolved homicides. When she sees a defenseless man being attacked by street thugs, she intervenes, but is surprised when the passive victim doesn't even bother to thank her. She ends up attracted to the man, Alfred Chamberlain, a photographer, but finds that he is emotionally vacant, barely able to feel pain or pleasure. He permits muggers to beat him up until they get tired and go away. 

…... When she brings him home to meet her parents and brother, he is almost non-verbal, except to tell her that he doesn't care for families. He learns that Patsy had another brother who was murdered for no known reason. …... 

Alfred ultimately agrees to try to become Patsy's kind of man, the kind willing to "fight back." The instant that happens, a sniper's bullet kills Patsy, again for no apparent reason. A blood-splattered Alfred goes to her parents' apartment, New Yorkers barely noticing his state. He descends into a silent stupor, Patsy's father even having to feed him. A ranting, disturbed police detective, Lt. Miles Practice, drops by, almost unable to function due to the number of unsolved murders in the city. After he leaves, Alfred goes for a walk in the park. He returns with a rifle, which he doesn't know how to load. Patsy's father shows him how. Then the two of them, along with Patsy's brother, take turns shooting strangers down on the street. Their mood brightens and they happily eat dinner at the table together.” 

Why are there so many killer apes in society in 2021? Is it because TAB soda was discontinued? 

 

Reversion? 

 

Robert Ardrey formulated and popularized the Killer Ape Theory; that mankind are killers by inherent nature, and will jump at the chance to revert to their killer status. 

 

To Ardrey, aggression in its most perfect form is killing; and was the driving force behind human evolution.  

“According to the theory, the ancestors of humans were distinguished from other primate species by their greater aggressiveness, and this aggression remains within humanity, which retains many murderous instincts.   

The theory gained notoriety for suggesting that the urge to do violence was a fundamental part of human psychology. “  

2021 PERSON OF THE YEAR has made every person in society feel like they were living in Kubrick’s A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, or Peckinpah’s THE STRAW DOGS. 

That means THE MAXEY CHRONICLE’S PERSON OF THE YEAR 2021 has had a greater impact on every man and woman in society than Elon Musk’s TESLA or Jeff Bezos’ flight into outer space.  

Which brings us back to the question- why so much killing in 2021? 

 This Blogger has a theory; the killer ape in Mankind does not like change. If one advocates for societal change, that change MUST be managed carefully, or the killer ape becomes discombobulated, and unleashed. 

The Governing Elite in society has not managed Change well; their mismanagement has discombobulated the killer ape, and unleashed him/her. 

Mismanaged change produces  killer ape reversion ; the killer ape cannot handle all the changes of 2021: being told women do not have to have vaginas, that Latino and Latina have no place in a Latinx world; that crypto currency will replace money; that God changes depending on the year; that Billy Porter is the Black beau ideal of masculinity; that the men who landed on Omaha Beach were toxic males; that only a fool protects women; that Benedict Cumberbatch is the most bad ass male in 1924 Montana and that non-citizens should have the vote in New York City elections is criminal mismanagement of Change. 

In response to what he or she considers illogical or dishonest change, a killer ape will kill. 

And will kill prolifically; which is why the Killer Ape is THE MAXEY CHRONICLE’S PERSON OF THE YEAR 2021.
