It was recently brought to this Blogger’s attention that if he stays alive a mite longer, he may well be the last living American to have shaken hands with Alexander Kerensky. Kerensky was a good guy, a Russian version of American President Jimmy Carter; he was Premier of the government which fell to the Bolsheviks. That might well be true, for this Blogger was at least fifteen years younger than any other participant at the seminar.
Kerensky could have saved the world from Communism; for as Premier, he had Lenin in his jail, at his mercy. But he did not disappear him, for Lenin was a family friend, who had been taught by Kerensky’s father. Such is history.
This Blogger may also soon be the last living American to know men who participated in the Communist Red Terror of the Bolsheviks. This Blogger’s father knew many old Trotskyites; before they were Trotskyites, they were Bolsheviks. Stalinists chased into exile, or the Gulag or onto their knees for the bullet in the back of the head.
Exile for some meant Brooklyn; they loved serving tea from ancient samovars and talking of the old days.
During the initial Red Terror, the Bolshevik Terror, the CHEKA Terror, those kindly old mentors helped draw up proscription lists, for execution.
From personal experience, they specifically and emphatically warned this Blogger about the dangers of proscription lists and Terror.
They confessed that, though the Terror starts off as a political instrument, it must inevitably transform itself into a settling of old scores.
One old Trotskyite said that the CHEKA( the Bolshevik Secret Police) wanted 100 people from his district named as counter revolutionaries, and placed on the proscription list for execution. The Trotskyites, then loyal Bolsheviks, were amenable to the request. But they could not come up with 100 names; and they knew if CHEKA wanted 100 names that 100 names should be supplied, or CHEKA would add their names to the proscription list.
So, Gleb, the Trotskyite narrating the oral history, said that it was hopeless; they had placed all the landlords, all the effete, all the people practicing Christianity in the basements, all the lawyers, all the rich peasants on the list, and were still two shy. Then he remembered two audacious boys who had flirted with his wife outrageously, in front of him. He added their names to the list.

It is from the Old Trotskyite perspective that this Blogger will try and reflect on the aborted plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, and place her on trial for crimes against the people.
First rule of revolutionary terror, NEVER include 13 or 14 people in your plot. That is Revolutionary Plotting 101. If one includes more than five persons in a revolutionary cell, discussing a revolutionary action, such as kidnapping a governor, then at least one of the extra members will be a paid OKHRANA or FBI informer.
This Blogger assumes that the Michigan plotters included 13 plus in their action group because they wanted a full jury, a judge, a prosecutor and a defense attorney at Gov. Whitmer's trial.

Supposedly the plotters were also going to kidnap the male governor of Virginia later; this Blogger doubts the validity of that plot. This Blogger sees it as a fabrication to add revolutionary respectability to their lust for Governor Whitmer.
This Blogger believes that it is time for some old fashion Trotskyite speculation on the nature of 2020 right wing revolutionaries.
In 2020, the revolutionary right wing movement in America has coalesced into a commonality that violence is necessary to save the republic; and then sub divided again.
One group is Falangist; it wants to overthrow the government for a better tomorrow.
That has as much chance of success as John Brown using the Harper’s Ferry Raid to overthrow America’s pro-slavery government.
America has the best government possible; the best government in the history of the world. Overthrow it for what?
The opposing faction is modeled on the BLACK HAND of Serbia.

They want to use Terror, both specific assassination and communal terror against people they deem unworthy of being Americans.
