The Queen’s funeral was a grievous moment for all; for it fulfilled the ominous unease; that there is not much greatness left to be buried, for there is not much greatness left.
Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral was a grand and wondrous affair, topped off by the Lord Chamberlain breaking his wand of office and placing it on the casket. J.K. Rowling must have loved that.
This Blogger watched most of the funeral on English television; the shock of the elitist, anti-monarchist journalists was palpable. They could not fathom why many working class serfs, and peasants and lumpen proletariat would stand in line for 24 hours to see a departed monarch.
They should not have been surprised nor shocked; Good Queen Bess II, could break down a Short Magazine Lee Enfield Rifle Mk III blind folded and reassemble it. She could repair a broken down army lorry. They knew she grew up ,knowing that if the Battle of Britain had been lost; she would have been murdered, after being tortured by the Nazis. Since the working class has to do most of the fighting and dying for any democracy, those skills and that resolve, resonated with the working class of the United Kingdom.
On a personal note, this Blogger is not too impressed with Anglican hymns, or Anglican music; which may explain why Methodists, Presbyterians, and Congregationalists all sprung from the United Kingdom. It is the hymns.
KING CHARLES III-
After waiting seventy years to step into the spotlight, King Charles looked exhausted, uneasy, peevish, and afraid. And, perhaps worse of all, inadequate. Inadequate, obviously Princess Diana did her job well.
His demeanor called to mind the Stevie Wonder lyrics: " Like an old dusty road
I get weary from the load” or Carl Sandburg’s weary line: "a wind gone down, a sun dropped in the west.”
For some strange reason, King Charles III also reminded this Blogger of Pope John I; who was Pope of the Roman Catholic Church for 33 days in 1978. 1978 was the Year of Three Popes. The manner in which King Charles III handled himself; 2022 may well be the Year of Three Monarchs in the United Kingdom.
Finally, there was Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex.

Prince Harry thinks he should be King, instead of Prince Charles, or Prince William or Prince George, or anyone else; and if not King of England then King of the Commonwealth’s people of color , and if not King of the Commonwealth coloreds then King of Australia…the same goal LEX LUTHOR had in SUPERMAN
Prince Harry is Absalom, the son of Biblical King David, who thought he should be King instead of his father and older brother.
Or, for my British readers, Prince Harry thinks he is the Duke of Monmouth, the illegitimate scion who wanted to be King, by revolt.
….Which leads us to Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.
She is a biracial Wallis Simpson; she wants to be Queen of England, and if not, the Queen Mother of King Archie.
Which means as a loyal wife to Prince Harry, she is LADY MACBETH; as a loyal mother to Archie, she is Livia. One remembers Livia as the divorcee who married Emperor Augustus, and then dispatched his entire family so that her son could become Emperor Tiberius.
