For those Readers, who have been living in underwater caves, with left over trilobites, this Blogger will apprise you of the state of Joe Biden’s America in 2022. It is not good. Innocents by the bushels are being harvested in venal, senseless, gratuitously mean mass killings. Perhaps, as many as one a day.
Joe Biden’s Liberal apologists lay the cause to post Covid stress, coupled with the abundance of assault guns.
We know from History, that insight is patently wrong. In the 1920s, after a Great War, which degraded the foundation of civilized order; a pandemic killed millions of people, causing great stress. Then came a Depression, more stress.
As for guns, in the 1920s, Thompson submachine guns, invented to kill mass amounts of people in the trenches of Europe, were available, en masse, to the American public.
There were only two massacres connected to the use of the Tommy Gun, the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, in which gangsters were killed; and the Kansas City Massacre, in which four law enforcement officers were killed. Ergo, the availability of guns which kill efficiently, is not the reason for this spike in the current slaughter of innocents.
If not Covid or the availability of AR-15s, then what is causing this loathsome killing of innocents?
The key word is innocents.
This Blogger’s eldest brother was 24 years older than him; he served in combat in Italy and southern France. He said he was somewhat nervous about going into combat, nervous about both getting killed, or killing a fellow human being.
His Captain assured him; the killing had no importance; it was who you killed that was the important thing. Killing Nazis was good; killing innocents was bad.
16 million American men served in World War II, 21% of the American male population, one in five. When they were mustered out, all knew how to handle a gun, and most had Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) ; the mental health condition that's triggered by a terrifying event — either experiencing it or witnessing it. “Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares and severe anxiety, as well as uncontrollable thoughts about the event.”
So, why are mass shootings so prevalent in 2022, and not after two world wars; when conditions and weaponry were ripe for them to occur?
And why are the victims of those mass shootings innocents? Why are they school children, concert goers, church goers, worshippers in a temple, grocery store shoppers?
The white supremacists that kill Blacks, kill church goers praying, or Blacks shopping for food, or Mexicans in a Wal-Mart; those supremacists never seem to get around to killing Black pimps, or Black drug dealers. Why is that? Are there no Black pimps or Black drug dealers in Buffalo, New York or Charleston, South Carolina?
Why did the kill crazy teenagers in Sandy Hook and Uvalde kill innocent school kids and not cartel gunmen or sex traffickers?
It is the innocence of the victims which informs us as to what, or who, is causing these mass killings.
The answer is not for the secular, nor squeamish, nor sociological; for the answer is primordial, atavistic, superstitious, primitive, and maddening.
The reason for these mass killings is because the Devil is abroad on the land.
Now, this Blog has to take a short detour; below is a picture of the great science fiction writer, Charles Beaumont, and friend. Beaumont died when he was 38.

Beaumont’s son, Christopher said: “he looked ninety-five and was, in fact, ninety-five by every calendar except the one on your watch.”
“…when Beaumont was 34 …..he began to suffer the effects of "a mysterious brain disease" which seemed to age him rapidly. His ability to speak, concentrate, and remember became erratic. While some people attributed all of this to Beaumont's heavy drinking, his friend and colleague John Tomerlin disagreed: "I was working closely with Chuck at the time, and we were good enough friends for me to know that alcohol by itself could not possibly account for the odd mental state that he was in."
Why was Beaumont in such distress? Because he came really close, perhaps, too close to understanding the Devil and his ways.
He wrote a short story, THE HOWLING MAN; which he adapted into a teleplay for an episode of THE TWILIGHT ZONE.
In the story, a group of mad monks, in an ancient, forbidding castle, have an engaging person locked up. A Liberal stranger comes to the door of the castle, asking for shelter from a storm.
The head mad monk denies the Liberal food and shelter and kicks him out; but the Liberal faints, and the mad monks feel compelled to show him hospitality.
When the Liberal wakes up, he hears howling; he investigates and finds a man, locked up.
The man tells him that the monks imprisoned him because he kissed a girl in public.
Furious, Liberal threatens to tell the world the truth.
The monks then confess, that the man is not a man but the Devil,
With the Devil in prison, Mankind will only suffer from the evils devised by mankind itself.
The Liberals does not believe the monks, and releases the man; who promptly turns into a mocking Devil.
The head mad monk tells the Liberal that Mankind’s inability to recognize the Devil has always been Mankind’s greatest weakness.
The Devil is abroad in America because America’s secularized society has freed the Devil from confinement.
America is too self-involved and self-indulgent to recognize the Devil. America won the Revolutionary War because of the Divine Fog; it won the Civil War when Lincoln, to use Gore Vidal’s apt term, became “drenched in the Almighty" ( see the Second Inaugural); it won World War II when President Roosevelt beseeched the Divine to allow his soldiers on the beaches of Omaha to triumph( see FDR’s D-DAY Prayer).
If he were alive, Charles Beaumont would have recognized President Biden for what he is, a soulless hologram.
Martin Luther had his epiphany to tear the Roman Catholic Church apart, while sitting on his toilet, das klo.
Sitting on a toilet, as a back drop to defying the teachings of one’s church, was too dignified for Joe Biden. He defied his Church’s teachings because he was an avid viewer of a television sitcom. That type of thinking makes the Devil unleashed.
In 2021, Joe Biden issued a proclamation announcing the annual National Day of Prayer; he omitted any reference to God, or the Almighty, or any Deity in the proclamation. To this Blogger, that is a bad business practice, when you are the steward of a society being racked over the coals by the Devil.
On June 6, 2022, American Vice President Kamala Harris met with religious leaders in Los Angeles, and called for more :“faith in each other, in our nation, and in our future”.
She failed to mention God to a group of religious leaders.
In 2022, America is not in a societal crisis, or post COVID crisis, or too many guns crises. It is in a spiritual crisis; America’s leaders are averse to acknowledging they can be humbled by God.
That is bad business.
WHAT IS TO BE DONE-
Joe Biden needs to call for a weekend of Prayer, on Friday, Muslims must be asked to fill their mosques; on Saturday, Jews must be asked to fill their synagogues; on Sunday, Christians must be asked to fill their churches. Since Hindus do not have a specific Sabbath, they can choose which day to fill their temples.
Humbled, this Republic, this bleeding nation, must pray, en toto if possible, for an end to these mass killings, these slaughters of the innocents. We must have prayer in unison, for the safety of the innocents.
The hope is that the nation’s prayers will lock up the Devil, one more time. If it works, we should exhume Charles Beaumont’s body. It should look like a 38-year-old man. Miracles happen.
