The Liberal cognoscenti and commentariat have denounced believers in the QAnon Conspiracy theory as unfounded and ungrounded fools.
“The QAnon conspiracy theory is vast, complicated and ever changing, and its adherents are constantly folding new events and personalities into its master narrative. But the gist of it is that national Democrats, aided by Hollywood and a group of “global elites”, are running a massive ring devoted to the abduction, trafficking, torture, sexual abuse and cannibalization of children, all with the purpose of fulfilling the rituals of their Satanic faith.....the guardian.”
Obviously, only a demented troglodyte would believe in that.
But that obvious is less secure since the recent revelations concerning the Lincoln Project.
Lincoln Project was founded by never Trumpers, former Republicans, defrocked randy priests, cardinals and bishops of the Party, when it was an elitist Party: Steve Schmidt, Rick Wilson, Stuart Stevens, George Conway and John Weaver. All were driven from their sinecures and altars by Donald Trump.
Their rise was abetted by Lincoln Project groupies: Nicolle Wallace, CNN, Chris Hayes and MSNBC.
In 1994, John Berendt published the bestselling nonfiction tome on depravity, MIDNIGHT IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL. It was about the story of an antiques dealer on trial for the murder of a male prostitute.
The film starred, appropriately, Kevin Spacey.

The judge and jury later find Williams not guilty, much to the pleasure of Kelso and the witnesses. Williams congratulates Kelso on proving his innocence.
As depicted in the book, Williams suffers a heart attack and dies a week after the trial concludes. As he dies on the floor near where Hanson died from his wounds, Williams sees an apparition of the hustler in death, then momentarily alive.”

In 2021, it now seems apparent that the entire anti-Trump Lincoln Project could be memorialized in MIDNIGHT IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL.
“John Weaver, a longtime Republican strategist and co-founder of the prominent anti-Trump group the Lincoln Project, has for years sent unsolicited and sexually provocative messages online to young men, often while suggesting he could help them get work in politics, according to interviews with 21 men who received them.
These messages from Mr. Weaver, 61, who helped run John McCain’s presidential campaigns in 2000 and 2008 and John Kasich’s in 2016, did not lead to physical encounters except in one consensual case, and none of the men accused Mr. Weaver of unlawful conduct. Rather, many of them described feeling preyed upon by an influential older man in the field in which they wanted to work, and believing they had to engage with his repeated messaging or lose a professional opportunity.
Mr. Weaver sent overt sexual solicitations to at least 10 of the men and, in the most explicit messages, offered professional and personal assistance in exchange for sex. He told one man he would “spoil you when we see each other,” according to a message reviewed by The New York Times. “Help you other times. Give advice, counsel, help with bills. Perhaps the nut cases who believe in QAnon were not wrong about LINCOLN PROJECT.
“Some of the leaders of the embattled Lincoln Project knew about sexual harassment allegations against co-founder John Weaver as early as March, multiple sources, including the group’s former executive director, told The 19th late Monday.
…..Weaver has been accused of sexually harassing more than a dozen men, including some connected to the Lincoln Project.
…..The Lincoln Project was launched in late 2019 by a group of high-profile Republicans with the mission to defeat Donald Trump. It went on to raise nearly $90 million for the effort, more than half of which flowed to firms controlled by its various founders…..Anedot, which processed the group’s donations, has stopped working with them and fundraising links have been dead since Friday, giving the Lincoln Project no way to bring in small-dollar donations.
…Then, the Jerusalem Post reported early Tuesday that Israeli prime ministerial hopeful Gideon Sa’ar, who is challenging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in next month’s election there, would also cut ties.
Sa’ar’s campaign had just last month hired Galen, Steve Schmidt, Rick Wilson and Stuart Stevens, the Lincoln Project’s remaining top consultants, in a bid to apply their anti-Trump playbook to Netanyahu. Their work in Israel was part of a broader expansion into international politics, with one entity related to this effort being registered just last week.
Separately, Wilson’s relationship with The New Abnormal, a podcast produced by the Daily Beast that he co-hosts, has been paused as of Tuesday, producers said.
Multiple individuals began coming forward late Monday to discuss the allegations related to Weaver, and the timeline on which other senior management knew about them, after the group confirmed that a nondisclosure release applied to its current and former contractors, vendors and employees. Much of the group’s work was done by independent contractors and those working for private firms owned by its founders.
Their accounts contradict a timeline provided by Schmidt as recently as late last week. Schmidt had previously said that he did not know about the allegations against Weaver until January. They also show that co-founders knew months earlier than June, as had been previously reported by The 19th and other media outlets.
Schmidt resigned from the Lincoln Project’s board on Friday ….Some of the individuals came forward with new details on Monday after they were released from their nondisclosure agreements. Several said Sarah Lenti, a managing partner with the group who was previously its executive director, knew about the allegations against Weaver as early as May 2020. Lenti confirmed that some of the group’s co-founders knew about the allegations as early as March 2020. Schmidt and Galen were among those who knew, multiple sources said.
Only three of the Lincoln Project’s eight co-founders — Schmidt, Galen and Wilson — remain after months of infighting about the group’s management, finances and the allegations faced by Weaver. …….THE 19TH.”
As the QAnon believers reconfigure their belief system, perhaps they could name Nicolle Wallace as High Priestess of MIDNIGHT IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL. She would like that.
