In a Zero Sum America, DREAMERS from Arizona to Canada

If one believes that Climate Change is a real phenomenon; and this Blogger believes that it is.

If one believes that the Earth is living in the Anthropocene Era, in which the activities of man is shaping the physical nature of the planet Earth, including extinctions; and this Blogger believes that we are.

If one believes that living in the Anthropocene means that there will be shortages in food, water, and clean air; and this Blogger believes that it does.

If one believes all that, then one MUST believe the world is a ZERO SUM WORLD; and this Blogger believes that.

In a ZERO SUM WORLD, the moral question of  succoring refugees, and migrants no longer becomes a moral question but a question of survival, for every act of kindness to the stranger takes away an act of kindness from one’s countrymen.

In this dawning Anthropocene, only one nation on this planet sees succoring the stranger as a moral issue, and that country is our beloved Canada.

DACA (Deferred ACTION for Childhood Arrivals) is the executive order by President Obama which allowed some individuals who were brought to America illegally as children, to be deferred from deportation, allowed a work permit, and allowed a drivers license.

DACA recipients are called DREAMERS. There are 800,000 of them.

Last year, President Trump ended the DACA program; only litigation is keeping the DREAMERS from mass deportation.

On September 17, 2017, this Blogger published a Blog advocating sending the DREAMERS to Canada en masse.

“What to do with 800,000 DREAMERS, who speak English and have no criminal records and are educated?

The answer is obvious- SEND THEM TO CANADA….THE MAXEY CHRONICLES.”

It seems Canada will welcome them, en masse.

Good ole Canada.
‘Canada could gain from the Trump administration's decision to end a program that has allowed young, undocumented immigrants to remain in the United States for years, says Ontario Independent Sen. Ratna Omidvar.
In an interview on CBC News Network's Power & Politics, Omidvar said the program's beneficiaries are precisely the kind of immigrants Canada should be pursuing for its economic migrant program.
"These individuals are low-hanging fruit for us," Omidvar told host Rosemary Barton. "They speak fluent English, they've been educated in the U.S., most of them have been to college or university, some of them have work experience. They understand the North American working culture."
"On top of that, in order to qualify to be a 'Dreamer' you have to have biometrics testing, you have to have a criminality check. So this is America's loss but it could be Canada's gain."…..
The Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program is a temporary reprieve from deportation, renewable every two years (for a fee), but has no path to citizenship.
People who reside in the U.S. under this program are often called "Dreamers" after the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act (DREAM). The bill was crafted to help those brought to the U.S. as children by allowing them to live there providing they graduate from school and have no criminal record.
The act has been struggling to become law since 2001, and has often seemed close to bipartisan success. But in recent years more Republicans have turned against it.ws
The estimated 800,000 young people who migrated to the U.S. illegally with their parents and are now living there under the DACA program face deportation to a country they now have little connection with….
Omidvar proposes that Canada give "special consideration" to 10,000 to 30,000 of these young people either through the existing economic stream or as international students.
"We know that international students have already been identified by our system as priorities for permanent residency," said Omidvar. "And in truth, we have not done so well in turning an aspiration into a reality because most international students still choose to go back.
"So, here are people who could apply for international student programs. Universities and colleges could come up with some special initiative or special outreach — college-to-college, university-to-university — maybe even a special scholarship program. But over time, they would be top of the line for economic integration," Omidvar added.
…."Just as this is an opportunity for Canada, it is also an opportunity for other countries — including source countries of origin like Mexico and other Latin American countries.
"These young people have resiliency. They understand how the American system works. They understand American insecurities and securities. And if their personal safety can be guaranteed in source countries, maybe this is the new elite that will participate in nation building in those countries which their parents left, 20-plus years ago…CBC(Canadian Broadcasting).

The Republic has deported people from America to Canada before; the Republic knows how to do it.

The coming mass relocation, of DREAMERS from the United States to Canada, will be America's largest contribution to Canada's population since the Republic banished 100,000 Loyalist followers of George III after the Patriots won the American Revolution.  The mass deportations of DREAMERS to Canada may, on the surface, seem cruel and inhumane. However, in a ZERO SUM WORLD, that cruel and inhumane action is transformed into a win-win-win necessity.
As astute Canadian politicians have pointed out, the transshipment of DREAMERS to Canada  will be a major win for Canada.
Sending DREAMERS to Canada will be a win for America, for that act would unclog the channels of opportunities in America for underserved American blacks, Hispanics, Native Americans, and whites; their places at the table have been replaced by DREAMERS, a mass deportation would change that.
Finally, as harsh as it is, a humane and orderly mass deportation to Canada will well serve DREAMERS, as their opportunities become constricted in a ZERO SUM America.
Case in point, Arizona, where the Arizona Supreme Court just ruled that DREAMERS were not entitled to in state tuition at Arizona public colleges.
“PHOENIX -- Thousands of dreamers are going to have to pay more next year if they want to attend any of the state's three universities or community colleges. In a brief order Monday, the Arizona Supreme Court ruled that it is illegal to allow those in the Deferred Action for for Childhood Arrivals program to pay the same tuition as other state residents.
Monday's order is not a major surprise. During a court hearing last week the justices had a series of pointed questions for Mary O'Grady who was defending the policy enacted by the Maricopa Community Colleges of permitting dreamers to pay in-state tuition.
What is surprising is the speed at which the seven-member court reached a conclusion. But the justices had hinted at their desire for some finality on the issue, and soon, noting that the colleges and universities were currently setting tuition for the coming school year…..the voter -approved law at issue in the case before the Supreme Court which spells out that any person who is not a U.S. citizen or "legal resident'' or is "without lawful immigration status'' is ineligible to be charged the same tuition at state colleges and universities available to residents…..That would  be a financial hit for those affected, pushing undergraduate tuition at the University of Arizona,….to pay full out-of-state tuition of more than $32,000.
…. O'Grady, in defending in-state tuition for dreamers, to convince the Supreme Court that "lawful presence'' means the same thing as "lawful immigration status,'' the language used in the 2006 law to deny in-state tuition to dreamers.
The legal fight started shortly after the DACA program was instituted. The Maricopa colleges governing board, depending on those employment authorization documents, voted to allow DACA recipients to attend paying in-state tuition.
Tom Horne, then the attorney general, filed suit.
In 2015, Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Arthur Anderson sided with the colleges, citing those employment documents.
Based on that ruling, the regents followed suit and instituted their own policy allowing DACA recipients to pay in-state tuition. Other community colleges also have instituted similar policies.
The Court of Appeals, however, said the 2006 ballot measure is limited solely to those with "lawful immigration status.''
Appellate Judge Kenton Jones, writing for the court, said the decisions by the Obama administration to let those who arrived in this country illegally as children to remain and work "do not translate into the recipients eligibility for in-state tuition or other state or local public benefits.''…….arizona daily sun.”
Octavio N. Martinez wrote a wonderful essay in the San Antonio Express News about DREAMERS. This quote is from it:”.To some, the very suggestion that our institutions welcome a group of young people whose parents violated federal immigration policies is outrageous. But let’s recall what DACA is. Applying commonsense criteria — school or military enrollment, no criminal record — our government identified those most likely to be contributing members of society and offered them a deal: administrative reprieve from deportation proceedings. Dreamers have held up their end of the bargain, and we have a responsibility to help them see it through.”
Mr. Martinez is very articulate, but he is an Old Thinker, pre-Zero Sum. Every benefit given to a DREAMER is a benefit taken away from a native born or legal American; that is the definition of a zero sum world. And thus it will be for the entire 21st Century.
Individually each DREAMER has merit to their cases; collectively, rewarding their parent’s Illegality, is a threat to the survival of American civic society in a 21st Century zero sum America because the very existence of DREAMERS on American soil, unpunished, is an existential threat to the rule of law and fair play in America. America cannot have 800,000 progeny of lawbreakers prospering on its soil during the Anthropocene; it is unseemly, not to mention entropic.

The Urination Of Nicole Kidman's Career

I went to see EYES WIDE SHUT in total awe of its Director, Stanley Kubrick, who had in his career Directed THE GREATEST Science Fiction/Cosmological film EVER- 2001, SPACE ODYSSEY, the BEST and MOST INSIGHTFUL film essay on American culture EVER- LOLITA, arguably the greatest war movie ever- PATHS OF GLORY, and one of the best film epics ever- SPARTACUS. Mr. Kubrick died SUDDENLY, before EYES WIDE SHUT was released. Everyone was so sad. Then I saw EYES WIDE SHUT, and understood exactly why Herr Director Kubrick had croaked so suddenly; he had willed himself to death before the release of the film, so that  he would not have to suffer the slings and shots against his declining genius. EYES WIDE SHUT is the WORST, laughably worst, porn film ever made, EVER. It starred that larger than life couple(at the time), Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. The key scene in the film was Ms. Kidman peeing. I was spending over $60.00(including tickets,parking and snacks for me and my date ) to watch

The Crash of Flight 447: Fate, Moliere and Veronique Gaignard

In 1954 there was the film, THE HIGH AND THE MIGHTY about danger in the air; that was followed by the 1964 film, FATE IS THE HUNTER about a fatal airplane crash and the followup investigation; followed by the 1970 film, AIRPORT, about a bomber on a plane, starring every living star in Hollywood at the time; followed by  the sequels, AIRPORT 75, AIRPORT 77, AIRPORT 79- THE CONCORDE. All that melodramatic danger in the air was laughed to death by the films AIRPLANE in 1980, followed by AIRPLANE II in 1982. Everything in air flight had been covered, both the tragedy and the comedy  of air travel, until Air France Flight 447. Flight 447 was the Air France  Airbus Flight from Brazil to France, which,in 2009, crashed in the South Atlantic , killing all on board,228 passengers. Airbuses fly by wire, which means they fly by computers rather than the old mechanical ways.  Very up to date, except when something goes awry, then it seems it is very difficult to set right. Roger Cohen's Russian Think Piece in NEW YORK TIMES Begs the Question: Was Gerry Maxey Right about Russia TEN YEARS AGO?

This Blogger respects Russians; as Frederick the Great stated :” It takes two bullets to take a Russian soldier out; one to kill him and one to  stop him.” This Blogger   likes Russians; even though once, in Moscow, during the Soviet era, his incredibly attractive tour guide, aka KGB agent, told him and his brother   that they were in danger of being hit, fatally, by a Soviet car crossing a Moscow street. T his Blogger’s brother told her that he had ridden in a Soviet Car, the LADA; and that he could damn well survive any hit by that piece of junk. She laughed. That night, this Blogger’s brother slept in his room, under his bed, drunk. This Blogger admires the way Russians do business; when Soviet diplomats were kidnapped in Lebanon, the KGB paid the ransoms immediately, without complaint. Shortly thereafter, Beirut was flooded with Soviet agents and Soviet bribes; the kidnappers were identified. They were abducted, tortured and  castrated; their dead bodies strung from l
