Pause in Israel/Gaza War Allows for Reflections on Israel and HAMAS

  As this Blog is being written, the Israel/HAMAS War has been placed on PAUSE; so selected Israel hostages, taken in the HAMAS October 7 th    Murder Raid can be exchanged for Palestinian prisoners, held in Israeli jails. Since the October 7 th  HAMAS Murder Raid, the world has learned a few things about HAMAS. First, it is the most ruthless terrorist organization, since the Khmer Rouge and that includes the Taliban and ISIS. Secondly, it is the cleverest, canniest terrorist organization since the heyday of the Irish Republican Army. In geopolitical, geostrategic terms and in public opinion, HAMAS may have already won the war. It has galvanized worldwide opinion against Israel; even though HAMAS slaughtered Israeli elders,  raped Israeli women, butchered Israeli men and mothers and  beheaded Israeli babies in its Murder Raid. CRIE DE GUERRE- CRY FOR WAR This Blogger happened to be in Egypt, on vacation during the First Gulf War, when the Allied coalition ousted the invading Iraqi forces of Saddam Hussein, from Kuwait. This Blogger was sitting in a hotel lobby, on the banks of the Nile,    nursing a Glubb Pasha gin and tonic, watching an unfolding Coptic Christian wedding reception. It was    rumored that this Blogger was the last American in the hotel; that rumor was bolstered when the Egyptian tourist police assigned ten officers as his body guards. The American lady who had come to Egypt with him, had left him  ,  in a very prudent moment, alone. As this Blogger was watching the belly dancer do her exotic intoxication; a young, well-groomed Arab came up to him.
