House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi(D-Ca), 77 years old, gave the longest speech in the history of the House of Representatives, over eight hours. She did it in four inch heels.
Her history making speech was mostly about illegal aliens, and DREAMERS ( those illegal aliens brought to America by their parents as children ) and DACA Recipients, those DREAMERS allowed to stay in a America by an Executive Order from President Obama; an order rescinded by President Trump, effective March 5, 2018.
Her speech was eloquent, emotional, heart rendering, and completely devoid of reality. Ms. Pelosi lives in a fantasy NBC/Hollywood sitcom; her speech reveals how clueless she and her acolytes are. The illegal aliens, including the DREAMERS must be repatriated. That agenda is not driven by racism nor American nativism but by acceptance of Climate Change, which has unleashed water stress on America, including Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Miami, and by the rise of robots.
First excerpts from her eloquent, misguided and misbegotten speech:
“Illegal immigrants are a blessing, they are doing what the Founding Fathers would wish, they are the best of the best, more American than Americans, reinvigorating, they are fabulous, beautiful, and patriotic, yes, very patriotic.
We recognize that they are a blessing to America … the dreamers are all over our country, Mr. Speaker, they are a blessing so across the board …
These are the best of the best. They are so fabulous …
I was impressed by the cumulative effect that they are making on their country. Each of them with their individual contribution to the greatness of America. So exciting, so proud of them …
It’s a beautiful thing …
Am I not lucky to be able to become so familiar with so many of these beautiful dreamers? We want to send these people back? This talent, this rich talent, this achievement, this determination, this faith in the future, this patriotism for America? I don’t think so. We have to make [an amnesty] happen …
Let us acknowledge the dreamers and their optimism, their inspiration to make America more American…
Again, their parents were so courageous. They had a dream for their children and some of these children are now reflecting that they’re living their parents’ dream for them and that’s what America has always been about …
Talking about those founders [and] a new order for the ages. Every generation taking responsibility for making the future better for the next. Every testimony talks about that. Parents making sacrifices for their children to have a better life. A direct reflection of the American dream of hope, determination, optimism, faith, faith in God, faith in the future, faith in America, faith in families, faith in the work ethic, faith in education …
Again, a theme about honoring the vows of our Founders for a new order for the ages, every generation would take responsibility to make the future better for future generations. That’s exactly what these the families of these dreamers did. Family members took risks, had courage, hope, optimism, courage — did I say courage twice? — and determination to make the future better for their families. And doing that for their families, they were doing that for America too …
We’re a great country because we’re constantly reinvigorated by immigrants coming to our country. Their commitment and courage and commitment to the American dream which drew them here in the first place strengthened the American dream. As newcomers with all of that hope and aspiration, they make America more American when they come here and that’s why our country will not stagnate.
I particularly want to mention the CEO of IBM who really … has been so good to its dreamers. They have respected them, given them opportunity and advocated for them, brought them to the Capitol, come here with their CEO. It is just really quite remarkable. But I could say that about a large swath of companies in Silicon Valley. Bill Gates has been a champion on this issue. I really give them credit for keeping the prestige of this issue in such a high, high place, and making it a priority in their advocacy here and importantly in their communities. So the business community has been spectacular….Nancy Pelosi.”
Then Ms. Pelosi read testaments from DREAMERS about their ubiquitous American Dream.
Ms. Pelosi comes from a political family( her father was Mayor of Baltimore); she represents San Francisco, which lives off of water from federal lands.
Ms. Pelosi, and all her acolytes, are clueless as to what Climate Change REALLY MEANS- no drinking water. Only 3% of Earth’s water is fit for human consumption; soon there will not be enough clean water in America for Americans, let alone illegal aliens and DREAMERS.
The American Dream, water and jobs.
“Cape Town is in the unenviable situation of being the first major city in the modern era to face the threat of running out of drinking water.
However, the plight of the drought-hit South African city is just one extreme example of a problem that experts have long been warning about - water scarcity.
Despite covering about 70% of the Earth's surface, water, especially drinking water, is not as plentiful as one might think. Only 3% of it is fresh.
Over one billion people lack access to water and another 2.7 billion find it scarce for at least one month of the year.
A 2014 survey of the world's 500 largest cities estimates that one in four are in a situation of "water stress"
According to UN-endorsed projections, global demand for fresh water will exceed supply by 40% in 2030, thanks to a combination of climate change, human action and population growth.
It shouldn't be a surprise, then, that Cape Town is just the tip of the iceberg. Here are … most likely to run out of water.
1. São Paulo-Brazil's financial capital and one of the 10 most populated cities in the world
2. Bangalore-Like China, India struggles with water pollution and Bangalore is no different: an in-depth inventory of the city's lakes found that 85% had water that could only be used for irrigation and industrial cooling.
Not a single lake had suitable water for drinking or bathing.
3. Beijing – China is home to almost 20% of the world's population but has only 7% of the world's fresh water.
A Columbia University study estimates that the country's reserves declined 13% between 2000 and 2009.
And there's also a pollution problem. Official figures from 2015 showed that 40% of Beijing's surface water was polluted to the point of not being useful even for agriculture or industrial use.
8. Mexico City- 11. Miami….BBC”.
What Ms. Pelosi does not understand, or cannot comprehend is that there is not enough water in the world now for all the hard working migrants; and there certainly will not be enough water to drink in the future.
As for jobs and how great Bill Gates is:what jobs?
“Andrew Yang, a well-connected New York businessman who is mounting a long-shot bid for the White House. Yang, a former tech executive who started the nonprofit organization Venture for America, believes that automation and advanced artificial intelligence will soon make millions of jobs obsolete — yours, mine, those of our accountants and radiologists and grocery store cashiers. He says America needs to take radical steps to prevent Great Depression-level unemployment and a total societal meltdown, including handing out trillions of dollars in cash.
“All you need is self-driving cars to destabilize society,” Yang, 43, said over lunch at a Thai restaurant in Manhattan last month, in his first interview about his campaign. In just a few years, he said, “we’re going to have a million truck drivers out of work who are 94 percent male, with an average level of education of high school or one year of college.”
“That one innovation,” he added, “will be enough to create riots in the street. And we’re about to do the same thing to retail workers, call center workers, fast-food workers, insurance companies, accounting firms
Alarmist? Sure. But Yang’s doomsday prophecy echoes the concerns of a growing number of labor economists and tech experts who are worried about the coming economic consequences of automation. A 2017 report by McKinsey & Co., the consulting firm, concluded that by 2030 — three presidential terms from now — as many as one-third of U.S. jobs may disappear because of automation.
Yang, a married father of two boys, is a fast-talking extrovert who often wears a blazer and jeans without a tie. He keeps a daily journal of things he’s grateful for and peppers conversations with catchphrases like “core competency.”
After graduating from Brown University and Columbia Law School, he quit his job at a big law firm and began working in tech. He ran an internet startup that failed during the first dot-com bust, worked as an executive at a health care startup and helped build a test-prep business that was acquired by Kaplan in 2009, netting him a modest fortune.
Yang knows he could sound the automation alarm without running for president. But he feels a sense of urgency. In his view, there’s no time to mess around with think-tank papers and “super PACs,” because the clock is ticking.
“We have five to 10 years before truckers lose their jobs,” he said, “and all hell breaks loose.” …NEW YORK TIMES.”
Water stress and robotics PRECLUDE Nancy Pelosi compassion for illegal aliens including DREAMERS.
On February 24, 2017, this Blogger published;
The following is excerpted from that Blog:
“The Trump voters gave Donald Trump a mandate when they elected him President; the mandate was to make the United States as UNATTRACTIVE as possible to migrants.
Why would they do that?
The Liberals believe that the motivation of the Trump voters was pure racism. This Blogger disagrees; the pure motivation for the mandate is pure mathematics.
”A third of adults in sub-Saharan Africa say they would like to migrate permanently. So would a fifth of Latin Americans and one in 10 South and East Asians, according to a Gallup World poll from 2010. About a quarter of these potential migrants — 145 million adults — would like to live in the United States…...NEW YORK TIMES.”
This Blogger believes that the 145 million potential self declared Americans is low; this Blogger believes the United Nations’ estimate, that 200 million people want to come and live in the United States is accurate. As this Blog is being written, 65 million migrants are on the move across the globe.
All these estimates of mass migrants are based on the current global population of 7 billion; by 2050,the world will add 2 BILLION more mouths to its global population. The pressure to overwhelm America with migrants will be enormous.
When do Liberals want to make America unattractive to migrants? After 60 million migrants have relocated here illegally? After 120 million? After 190 Million?
Now, when there are only 12 million illegal aliens, is the best time to make America unattractive to watching and hopeful migrants.
This campaign to demagnetize America as an attractive destination for the millions of migrants has caused and will cause cruel and inhumane acts
… until the United States caps a ceiling on its population, which it must do to survive this era of Climate Change, it must do inhumane acts to make migration to America unattractive…THE MAXEY CHRONICLES.”
