In the middle of America’s halcyon Eisenhower era, a film shocked contented Americans, BLACKBOARD JUNGLE. The shock was twofold; first the film introduced ROCK N ROLL to the general public by introducing, as its theme music, Bill Haley’s ROCK AROUND THE CLOCK.
The second shock was portraying teenagers in a high school, disrespecting their teachers, up to and including physical attacks. The public found those social viruses astounding; for a mere decade before, boys that same age, were landing on Omaha Beach, to free the world from the Nazi War machine.
The Eisenhower public thought that the BLACKBOARD JUNGLE students were the pit of social disorder; they thanked God ( they were Believers then) that the grade schools were safe.
But then, Liberals gained the Liberal Ascendency in America’s school systems; ladling out copious barrels of lessons in self-esteem on grade school students. The end result of all these Liberal lessons in self-esteem, is that America's grade schools bypassed the BLACKBOARD JUNGLE motif; to exist in a CLOCKWORK ORANGE matrix.
In 2023, in Virginia, a six-year-old student, with oodles of self-esteem, shot his teacher. Liberals seemingly have forgotten; that nothing gives a potential Billy the Kid, more affirmation of his self-esteem than shooting his teacher.
On May 10, 2023, PBS’ NEWSHOUR interviewed American teachers about the danger of teaching, the physical dangers of teaching, in the current American school system.
The following is excerpted from that program.
‘Geoff Bennett: As we near the end of another school year, administrators and teachers say they're concerned about ongoing problems with student behavior, conduct that can be more disruptive than before the pandemic started.
….But let's start with what we heard from teachers across the country.
· Joanna Rizzotto, High School Alternative Education Teacher: My name is Joanna Rizzotto. And I am a high school alternative education teacher. I used to say I used to worry about just a few kids. Now there — it's the opposite. It is probably just a few kids that I am not worried about.
· Kristan Nigro, Kindergarten Teacher: I'm Kristan Nigro, and I am a kindergarten teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada.
I am seeing things like students attacking other students or they're throwing furniture at other students. In one instance, I had a student open up a pair of scissors that she took off my desk and threw them at my face.
….Jennifer Heiter, High School English Teacher: My name is Jen Heiter. And I am the English department chairperson and senior English teacher for Bremen High School in Bremen, Indiana.
So, what we have seen here at Bremen High School and I believe around the country is an extreme uptick in mental health issues with our students.
· Joanna Rizzotto: We're seeing that many students are more fearful, more wary of putting themselves out there, more anxious in general. And that anxiety can present itself in a number of different ways. It can look like unchecked anger. It can look like isolation.
· Kristan Nigro: The last couple of years have been very interesting. We have definitely seen a spike in behaviors. It could be anywhere's from hitting, biting, spitting, throwing furniture. And so, at times, it's a little unsafe in the classroom.
· ….Jennifer Heiter: What were not equipped to do is to identify students needs when they have mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and other things that normally do hit in the high school and middle school ages.
· Kristan Nigro: It's a shame because we're there to educate the future of America. That's what we want to do. And we're having a really hard time doing it with the behaviors that are presenting themselves.
· Jennifer Heiter: I would suggest that our legislators respond to this by putting more money into training teachers. And I would ask the question, are we responsible for our students' mental health? If so, and if we're the ones who need to respond to it, then we need to be trained adequately to respond well, because a lot is hanging in the balance here….PBS.”
What is wrong with the mental health of American children? Is it entertainment? Video Games? Divorce? Drugs? Rotten teachers? Rotten parents? Guns? Low self-esteem? Accelerated puberty?
On April 30, 2023, the Delphi of American Liberalism, THE NEW YORK TIMES, published a supplement, targeting American kids; it was called THE PUBERTY ISSUE.
Praise the Lord, the TIMES decided that the unholy sadness of American kids, in grade schools, was because they are having puberty at an earlier age. All those microplastics kids ingest are showing results.
If you are having puberty, at 11 years old; you are in the 6th grade. The TIMES informed modern kids that puberty is not a stickball game, or a touch football game or Chinese hand ball or fun; but a vengeance from God, to make them awkward, non-communicative, and sad.
The editor, Amber Williams, offered a lot of advice to kids, modern adult advice to kids; Governor DeSantis’ policies are bogus; that they should be watching NETFLIX’ program, SAY BYE BYE TO BINARY; which recommends kids become an ally to the LGBTQ community. The TIMES posit that kids should like gay kids because they are gay; the TIMES’ position was that American kids would find puberty easier if they started local Billy Porter fan clubs.
Over and over again the supplement dwelt on looks; Ms. Williams, introduced herself as someone who had greasy bangs and an ugly forehead in her puberty. Thanks for sharing Ms. Williams.
No wonder America’s kids are sad, suicidal or murderous; self-esteem cannot be based on a daily evaluation of how one looks on that particular day. That is a TIK TOK mentality; a mentality hoovering up teenage lives.
In her days, this Blogger’s mother never would have comprehended the term, self-esteem; she firmly believed that one would always value oneself, regardless of the circumstances, regardless of the down pouring of bad luck, if one lived a life, a daily life, of honor. Honor brings the self-esteem, not looks; that is what America and the NEW YORK TIMES should be teaching these sad kids; that if one stays true to Honor, one can look like QUASIMODO on a bad day, and still have rampant self-esteem.
This Blogger's mother taught that you might indeed enjoy bullying, but you cannot do that because it is not honorable; she taught that you might find it satisfying to shoot your teacher; but that is not an honorable act. She was not the only Mother teaching honor to their six-year-old sons; and no teachers were shot.
In the end, Self-Esteem comes from Honor.
Ms. Williams NEVER mentioned the human need for honor or the social need for Honor, as a necessity to be nurtured in America’s kids.
Teachers have a right to see their students as a cross between the puberty afflicted murderess from THE BAD SEED and the demonic kids from the film, CHILDEN OF THE DAMNED.
Teachers have a righteous fear of their students; that fear is grounded in the mistake of teaching our children self-esteem over honor.
Now that the Liberal Ascendency has created perhaps two generations of self-esteemed monsters, the question is: how do we protect the teachers?
The protection has to be three pronged: TECHNOLOGICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL and SPIRITUAL.
TECHNOLOGICAL:
Society has empirical evidence that the law officers assigned to protect students, teachers and staff at schools across America are most likely cowards ( see the Uvalde and Parkland Massacres).
Which, logically, means that America has to take advantage of the rapid advances in AI and robotics and assign robots to every school in America to protect those within.
Below are pictures of a current, user friendly, robotic school guards.
They can be programmed to recognize an intruder, a weapon, be it an AR-15 or machete or kitchen knife, and in response notify the police; then disarm the dangerous weapon carrying killer, by any means necessary.
The friendly robot can be programmed to recognize, by facial recognition, voice recognition or body recognition, any student who has been expelled from the school; or has threatened a teacher or student; or has made a threat to the school.
The robot can then disable him.
The best thing about robots in school is that they can interpose themselves between the gunman and fleeing students, taking the bullets instead of the kids.
PSYCHOLOGICAL-
It is incomprehensible to this Blogger that, with all the psychology at the finger tips of school administrators, they are incapable of identifying potential killers in their midst.
If the school can test the academic abilities of students; they should be able to test the violence potential of students.
The Europeans are using a technique: CORE TALENTS; which tests, not learned knowledge but character and potential.
“Coretalents offers much more than the necessary knowledge of the Nature (= personality, character) + Potential (= talents, aptitude for ability with training and/or practice) + Intrinsic Motivation (= desire, will)….CORETALENTS.”
CORETALENTS should be modified and adopted, for use to test students in the American school systems; so, that the program can recognize potential doers of harm, to teachers, staff and fellow students. The modified CORETALENTS should be given at the beginning of every semester.
This Blogger leaves it to the individual school system to figure out what to do with the potential Billy the Kids identified by CORETALENTS.
SPIRITUALITY
There is a great spiritual void in America, as the Liberal Ascendency descends into Weimar land.
The Safety of American students, teachers and staff begins in the ethereal, not in the seen, but in codes, ethics and Honor.
This Blogger has known killers all his life; he grew up in a household of combat veterans; in Brooklyn, he knew Mafioso button men; he has worked with licensed assassins.
What seems to have an impact on the sensibilities of all killers, whether Mafioso or Yakuza or Bolshevik or Nazi is adhering to an Oath.
For some reason, above the comprehension of this Blogger, Oaths have importance to killers. Hitler understood that; he made his troops swear a personal oath to him, not to the German people or state. Criminal gangs give their new members blood oaths.
This Blogger posits that, at the beginning of every semester, every American student takes a public oath: Not to Harm, his fellow students, or teachers. or staff during that semester.
That Oath will mean nothing to cheerleaders or would be priests; but it will mean something to the hidden killer in the flock. And it may deter them; it may deter one. One deterred killer is worth giving an oath, ludicrous on its face.
While discussing his concept of Oath taking with someone charged with increasing the safety in Arizona schools, this Blogger mentioned that when he was in Brooklyn public school, there was a general Assembly, of all the students, at the start of the school year; this Blogger suggested that would be an ideal time for giving the Oath.
The person responded with a hearty laugh; “Gerry, there are no General Assemblies any longer; we can’t have all the students in one place, at the same time, in case a mass shooting breaks out.”
How Green and Safe was Our Valley then, before the Liberal Ascendency.
Bring in the robots; give the tests; administer the Oaths, stop the Liberal anarchy.
